HAIR SPRAY sales remain slightly depressed across the mass market, with dollar volume down 2.4% over the past 12 months.
Drug stores, however, have done considerably better than other retailers in the category, with ales up 2.8%. Many chain drug retailers believe the convenience factor is the prime reason categories like hair spray continue to do well in the trade class.
