George D. Kirkland, CAE, president of LA, Inc., the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Los Angeles, 1999-2000 chairman of the ASAE Board of Directors, and 1993-1994 chairman of the ASAE Foundation Board of Directors, succumbed to pancreatic cancer June 11.

A recognized leader in association management and destination marketing for more than 30 years, Kirkland will be remembered by many people for many reasons.
